I’m Mel, the Tauranga born-and-bred founder of CLAY with a deceptively competitive attitude to see every person I work with get their own financial milestones. That's me in a nutshell.

My competitive side comes from representing NZ in tennis for many years. And now, between being a mum of two rugby-mad boys, a dog mum to Toa our Staffy, a wife…I know how to juggle a hectic life.

I have been in the banking industry since way back when, holding numerous senior roles with some of the major players in Auckland and locally. I know the banking industry, how it works (including a lot of the 'BS' that comes with it), demystifying the jargon and how to mould it to work best for everyone, no matter your plans or goals. But knowing the industry is one thing; understanding what my clients are after is another - my genuine care and compassion for people is my real superpower.
